I see why there are so many people who read "God Calling" daily for years. The devotional is like none other. The words truly sound as if they came from the lips of God Himself. I can see myself reading this for years. The only thing that I didn't like was that there were only dates on every other day. so beautiful!

GORGEOUS. It looks the way my Dad's Bible looked when I was a child and I admired it so much. Both people I gave this to gasped when they opened their Christmas gifts and couldn't wait to begin using it as both a daily devotional as well as a journal at the start of the new year. It is a beautiful LARGE book, but somewhat thin, (not bulky and weird at all) and each page is decorated so delicately. My only gripe is that each page has lines to journal at the bottom -- but not that many. I'd prefer way more lines, personally. Either way, I plan on buying one for myself now!

I bought this three times, two as gifts. My girlfriend taught me a beautiful way to use this. When in prayer, i talk to God and whatever is on my mind in present time, i random flip open God Calling. What ever month/day you open to is your answer for piece of mind to meditate/reflect upon. I write the present date with my question at the time on the month/day i random flipped to. It is like God speaks directly to you in regards to your thoughts. I have been using mine this way for three years. I left room to journal incase i picked the same month/day more than once and it is interesting to go back and see where you were in life and how much you evolved. This book speaks to you, it is amazingly spiritual and perfect for your God time or prayer time. This version is gorgeous, comes in a box, just a beautiful keepsake!! The words resonate truth, you can easily discern the messages that coinside with scriptures written in conjunction with the months/days title. I highly recommed this.

You just will not be disappointed with this little book!! I can't even tell you how when I have been stressed or concerned and I pray and I read, God will literally talk through this book to you and reveal some powerful message of truth to you meeting your need. Try it out. It's only 5 bucks or so. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. I gave them as stocking stuffers to a few people this year and prayed that God would minister to them through this little book and show Himself to them in a new light. I will mention that the photos were a bit deceiving. It is a black cover both front and back. Which is a bit weird because there are other covers that seem a bit more inviting to read. The black seems a bit ominous. Regardless, this book is great.
