Hot!

This is one of the few erotica novels that takes the little things into account--like reality. When done right, realistic characters and relationships are very hot--and let me tell you, this book is HOT.
The plot is a familiar one--the virgin female is looking to lose that status and maybe find love along the way--only in this book she does so without engaging in behavior that would get a normal person killed. The female lead does not pass out drunk and then wakes up pantsless in a hotel room with beige everywhere. Instead, she has an adult conversation with her potential dom before they engage in hot and sexy playtime.
The dialog is thoughtful and realistic. There are no inner goddesses doing the dance of the seven veils. Instead we have two responsible adults going on a journey together (and that journey involves lots of hot, hot sex).
I will recommend this book to all my friends who liked 50 Shades of Grey. Taming School hits upon a lot of the same themes, only the reader isn't left with the burning desire to strangle the female lead.
This book had me screaming "green" by the end. If 50 Shades left you cold, you should try this one.

Educational and Hot

When reading 50 Shades, I felt as though the author had no clue what it was like to be in the Kink Community. She created a character with control issues, mommy issues, and a massive overprotectiveness complex, and romanticized him into a dark Prince Charming. Ms. De Soto has not done that. She's taken a Peter and Kat and written them together in a way that can make you identify with each character on their own, and desperate to read more about the scenes between the two of them. She writes as a true Kinkster, knowing the inner workings of the community, showing it for what it is, and not creating some fantasy world that doesn't exist. This is a great educational read for those in the community, and those who are interested, but just as inexperienced as Kat. Not to mention, it is tantalizing, scandalous, and down right Hot!

I typically don't read a lot of erotica, but I couldn't put this story down. It was filled with dialogue that felt real, like conversations I've had with people in the moment when no one knows what will happen next, but we both want to find out. It was also very hot to read. The authors description of pain and pleasure together, and her delving into many aspects of S&M, kink, relationships and sensuality are vivid. The final scene is both provocative, tender and the perfect climax to the story (no pun intended).
